Liesa
Morning everyone,
Well its flippin freezing here this morning which made me do the power walk from the car to the school gates!!![msnwink] Harry thought it was funny because "mummy" was walking funny!!![msneek]
Anyway, burnt some extra calories doing that, eh?[msnsmile2]
2 weetabix with skimmed milk for breakfast
Black coffee
Already had 1 litre of water
Jacket potatoe with fat free cottage cheese for lunch
Dinner????? Havn't made my mind up yet!
Still doing my "twist and shape" and can really tell now that my hips, thighs and upper legs are alot more toned!
Paula..how you doing with yours??
Still need to tone my tummy up, any suggestions anyone??? I can't do anything like sit ups though because of my back condition![msncry]
Sharon
good morning everyone
it is freezing here along the north east coast and also very icy[msnsad]
Sharon the choice is unimited for tea, you can carry on with a green day or you could count the jacket as a healthy extra and have a lovely red tea how about chicken breasts in red wine? quick and easy from tesco add a bag of pre prepared microwave veg and your away or maybe a nice piece of steak with roasted vegetables?
roasted vegetables taste gorgeous and are very simple to do, chunky sliced courgettes peppers, red onions ,cherry tomatoes and even beetroot throw them all on a tray spray with fry light add herbs/spices if you like, 20 mins in oven and hey presto a nice healthy alternative to the usual boiled veg and the chips/potatoes[msnsmile2]
Liesa i dont like cooking either
maybe you could go for the very simple 1/3rd to 2/3rds ratio of eating, you put a portion of protein and carbohydrate on a third of your plate and free vegatables on the other two thirds
eat a nice healthy breakfast of oats so simple or wholemeal toast, snacking on fruit with the occasional low fat yoghurt and then a small treat in the evening such as a funsize chocolate bar
the main thing is to keeps treats, special occasion food to less than 10% of your total food consumption
if you not sure with proteins/carbohydrates you could ask the nurse at the doctors and i'm sure she can get you a nice colouful chart from the dietician showing these, my m.i.l has one on her kitchen door and it came from the dietician
remember that not only you benefits from the healthy eating you will be passing on to your little girl healthy eating habits which will reduce the chance of her having weight problems in later life
come on Liesa i'm sure you can do this and we will suport you every step of the way[clap]
Julieanne i cant beleive you said that we tell people off!!! it makes us sound so cruel
if people are having difficulites we support and encourage them back onto the right track, we are all only human after all and everyone has off days including me [msnwink]
so have a fantastic week everyone especially those starting a whole new healthier lifestyle[clap][clap][clap]
Fiona we miss you, are you ok?

Mizzy[/quote][msnembarrased] [msnembarrased] Sorry, maybe a bad choice of words Mizzy. I just meant be prepared to be told where you're going wrong, which I think is what Liesa wants us all to do in order to help her - she does like her nibbles [msnwink] [msnwink] In fact don't we all [msntongue] [msnwink]
Julie
Glad you are feeling positive Liesa[msnsmile2]
Congratulations to Janny, what lovely news[msnsmile2]
Well done to Theresa[clap][clap]
Sorry if I have missed anyone, not been able to come on over the weekend as things are still hectic here. Spent 4 hours in A and E last night with an 81 year old friend who had a bad turn, thought that it was it for him, but he is now on the mend. Was going to see him today but Jessica woke us in the night, she had been sick, still being sick this morning and tummy upset too[msnscared]. No school for her today so no work for me.
Have been very good food wise over the weekend, not sure about Slimming World yet, not had time to give it any thought. I am hopeing for a lose this week though.
As I have college early this evening Rachel and Hannah are making dinner and looking after Jessica until Peter comes home[msnscared], they are going to make chicken in sweet chilli and red pepper sauce with rice.
Freezing here too!!!!
Liesa I am so glad you took my comments in the manner they were intended[msnsmile] bored eating is a killer and I for one know how much effort it takes to do it right but you may find you will enjoy it once you get into it[msnwink] Like Julieanne once posted you could always follow one of our diaries the day after we post or do what Mizzy suggests the 1/3 - 2/3 ratio known as Success Express at SW - if you go online you can fill in your diary online too[msnwink]
Mizzy I love the roasted veg, so quick and easy, my favourites are roasted peppers and red onion[clap][clap]
Sharon children are so funny the things they say and do!!
Have you tried 'core control' for your tummy? Its dead easy, all you do is decide a time when you can do it eg. in the car whilst driving or sitting watching TV, pull your tummy muscles in as if there is a string pulling from your tummy button to your spine and then hold for as long as you can but whilst still breathing (don't hold your breath as well as your muscles!) do this for as long as possible then break for 10 seconds and repeat as often as you can, over time the you will beable to hold for longer and you won't even notice you are doing it[msnwink]
Sally you poor thing!!! Hope jessica feels better soon and the meal sounds yummy!!!
Have a great day all!!!
Thanks all for your support, we all know how things are meant on this thread and never take this the wrong way, i ask for help, you all respond, so kind of you all, but am really going for it!!
have done my housework!! met dad and took him to the florist and then cemetry, someone had beat us to it with flowers, (didnt go yesterday dad lives alone and gets so upset, so we spent the afternoon and evening with him)and took him today he can cope better during the week as he goes out and has breakfast in town for company, blooming freezing at the cemetry!! mum would be so mad if she saw him standing there!
having a nice cuppa, got such a shock as i was walking up the driveway! could hear a smoke aloarm going off, it was in Terri's bedroom!! i ran upstairs but nothing was wrong but i did leave the window open and sometimes these things react with cold! i suppose the other ones will wait till the middle of the night when im asleep and go of!!
still feeling ever so positive!!!!
