Just back from the docs, change of meds, blood pressure up from last time ([:O]) - nothing to do with being in a tizz after getting stuck in the waitrose car park and worrying about being late then + hydrocortizone cream for the infections, told me my immune system is still shot to pieces.

That was after lunch out with my sister, mushrooms on arugula followed by vegetarian risotto. Am out this pm at Bosom Friends (the support group) so will miss supper - perhaps a bowl of soup when I get back.

In haste as need to walk the hounds (in the rain[msncry]), taxi service for YD and nip to get a few things I forgot from the supermarket - all this before 6!

Thanks gals! Blown it today, came back to find DH eating his takeaway chinese, Pips wanted that too so I gave in and let her have some, and let her have her first practice driving in the dark to the takeaway, not to mention change of car from small manual to 4x4 automatic. She did v well - shame one of the L plates came off that was meant to be metallic! Anyway, you know what is coming next don't you, of course I had some! Oh I will have to be v good now for the rest of the week.

BF meeting was a talk and demonstration by Clarins, however, despite knowing that every single woman in there (bar my daughter) had undergone treatment for cancer did they discuss things for skin being hammered during hammer or radiation, not a bit of it, or how to counteract the effects afterwards, what hormone treatment does for your skin etc. Still, we all got a nice goody bag and an invite to go and get a free makeover at Fenwicks. Have decided to go to the gym tomorrow to make up for my sins today and book myself in for a facial[msnsmile].

Oh never mind Fiona, I'm sure it was chinese veggies eh [msntongue]

Leisa that's an amazing weight loss, well done, you must be thrilled. [clap][clap][clap]
I feel for you about the Migraines, unfortunately I seem to get them every few weeks, they are shocking. I have to take medicine and go to bed before the pain strikes, and the vomiting! Horrible things! What tablets do you take, I have been given Mercyndol Forte, but they knock me out, I don't surface for at least 24 hours, and then I'm a zombie for the next 24 hours!

My fluid retention seems to be subsiding this week, so hopefully I will have a loss next Monday. Although its a public holiday next Monday, so will have to wait until Tues to weigh in!

I did try and eat a lot more yesterday, but its hard to find nibbly free foods on a red day. Does anyone have any suggestions, I guess I have to have a heap of cooked meats ready to hand???

Oh Liesa I forgot to say something earlier (braindead most of the time nowadays!) well done on the weightloss, that is really good news, and you deserve it after the last few weeks.

Bad luck on the migraines I used to get them all the time when I worked in London, stopped when I had the children and only worked part-time - less pressure I guess. I get the occasional one now after travelling or busy day at a park - pressure again I think! Head massages help if you can catch it early enough, but I find damp flanned on eyes and strong painkillers with anti-nausea (again if I can take early enough), and sleep.

Theresa nibbles - what about sticks of celery and carrots, or don't you like that sort of thing? Hard boiled eggs - I try and keep a couple in the fridge and have with some baby tomatoes when starving and MUST eat something!

    Morning all!!!

Fiona look after yourself!!! Glad you got a Clarins goody bag anyway[msnwink]

Theresa why don't you nibble on fruits, you must have a lovely selection of fruits down under? Last night I sliced some peaches and pured natural low fat yogurt over them - Yummy! Also like Fiona says carrots and celery dipped in natural yogurt or salsa?

I too have the dreaded fluid retention but hope it will be all gone by Tuesday[msnwink]

I also get monthy migraines my GP gave me Imigram been taking them for 15 years they knock you out for a while but take the migraine away for 12 hours or completely depending on how soon you take them[msneek]

    Have a great day everyone!!![clap][sporty][clap][sporty][clap][sporty]

Well done on the 4lb loss Leisa[clap][clap][clap]

I had a good day yesterday, porridge, soup and roast chicken and veg for tea.

I have parents evening straight after picking Caitlin up from school today, hubby is finishing work early so we may eat out tonight. We don't often have the chance to eat in a restaurant together, mainly because the girls are ready for tea by 4pm and Tony doesn't normally get home till six, no desserts though and I will be good.

thanks for the advise on the migraine medication, i only took the tablets for my joints so hoped it would find the pain in my head! i was only thinking on tuesday that i hadnt had a headache for a very long time, then bang i got one! funny thing is my friend thought the same thing as she suffers monthly migraines which render her so incapable of doing anything, and as a childminder not so good, now with the aid of the iud called mirena coil and prozac her migraines are less then they were before but its still early days with mirena!she ended up in bed as well!

i must admit i used to suffer as a child very badly with migraines, every weekend i would get them, i think it was because i used to spend my dinner money on cigarettes daily! then come the weekend we had breakfast, large roast dinner and a good tea, so i ate very well, i read somewhere years ago you could get migraines through "binge eating"
but only dark room cold wet flannel over forehead and must vommit if it was to go!!

so glad those days are over! i dont feel as if its gone completely tho, so the tablets i have just taken for my joints would help shortly!

    have a good day all!
    Liesa
