    Some W W recipes .....................

    Steak and Mushroom Pie
    POINTS® value | 7
    Servings | 6
    Preparation Time | 20 min
    Cooking Time | 120 min
    Level of Difficulty | Moderate
Tuck into this delicious pie - just as good as the one served down your local!

    Ingredients

    2 teaspoon vegetable oil
700 g lean stewing beef, cubed
    1 large onion(s), chopped
1 portion stock cube, beef in 450ml boiling water
    225 g mushrooms, sliced
    1 medium carrot(s), sliced
    2 tablespoon parsley, chopped, fresh
1 pinch salt, and freshly ground pepper
2 level tablespoon cornflour, blended with 3-4 tablespoons cold water
225 g puff pastry sheets, thawed
    1 tablespoon skimmed milk

    Instructions

Heat the oil in a large saucepan and over a high heat add the cubes of stewing steak a handful at a time, so that they seal and brown. Add the onion and cook for another 3 - 4 minutes, until softened.

Add the stock, mushrooms, carrot and parsley to the saucepan. Bring up to the boil, then reduce the heat. Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours, until the meat is very tender. Check the level of liquid from time to time, topping up with a little extra water if necessary.

    Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 7 / 220°C / 425°F.

Season the cooked meat with salt and pepper. Stir in the blended cornflour and cook until thickened, about 1 minute. Tip the mixture into an oblong baking dish.

Lay the puff pastry sheet on top of the baking dish, trimming the edges with a sharp knife. Use the trimmings to make leaves for decoration. Position them on top, and brush the entire surface with milk. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes, until puffed up and golden brown.

    POINTS® value | 3.5
    Servings | 2
    Preparation Time | 14 min
    Cooking Time | 6 min
    Level of Difficulty | Easy
Brush this marinade on to your favourite fish to liven it up instantly. It's delicious on tuna or salmon steaks too. Serve with fresh green vegetables or a salad and jacket potatoes.

    Ingredients

    350 g cod, 2 x 175g (6 oz each)
    2 teaspoon honey, clear
    1 level tablespoon wholegrain mustard
    2 tablespoon wine, (medium white)
    2 teaspoon olive oil

    Instructions

Preheat the grill to a moderate setting. Line the grill rack with a piece of kitchen foil. Mix the marinade ingredients (honey through olive oil) together.

Brush the cod steaks with the marinade and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, basting them frequently.

Roasted Aubergine with Feta Cheese and Vine Tomatoes

    POINTS® value | 2
    Servings | 2
    Preparation Time | 10 min
    Cooking Time | 25 min
    Level of Difficulty | Easy

If you love aubergine, you’ll adore this tasty way to cook it!

    Ingredients

    1 portion aubergine, halved lengthways
    5 spray low-fat cooking spray
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    50 g feta cheese, (1 ¾ oz), thinly sliced
2 sprig fresh rosemary, or thyme
2 portion cherry tomatoes, on the vine (2 small bunches)
    1/8 teaspoon pepper
4 small leaf lettuce, to serve

    Instructions

Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 5/190°C/fan oven 170°C

Using a sharp knife, make criss-cross slashes across the cut surfaces of the aubergine halves, without slicing through the skin. Spray with low fat cooking spray, then rub the crushed garlic into the flesh.

Preheat a chargrill pan or non-stick frying pan. Char grill or dry fry the aubergine halves, cut side down, for 2-3 minutes. Transfer to a baking dish, cut side up, and top with the cheese, rosemary or thyme sprigs and cherry tomatoes.

Bake for 15-20 minutes until the flesh is tender. Season with black pepper and serve with salad leaves.

Sprinkle the aubergine halves with dried Mediterranean herbs instead of rosemary or thyme, if you like.

Oh dear I am having one of those days, not been naughty but dreaming of chocolate, chocolate drinks, chocolate cake, chocolate sauce, chocolate custard, chocolate brownies, chocolate biscuits and I could devour a mars bar

Wouldn't it be lovely to have a chocolate bath.

Got my highlights for later and had ww vanilla and choclate mousse after tea, but not the same as the real thing melting on your tongue is it
