    Thanks Mizzy!!!

Sally that sounds good to me but you need Miss Mizzys expert approval - she is the oracle[msnwink]

Just found this on the web site maybe useful.............

    Syn-free mayo
This will store well, sealed, in the fridge for up to 5 days. Makes about 3½fl oz/100ml. Mix together 6 tbsp of very low fat fromage frais, 2 tbsp white wine vinegar and 2 tsp granulated artificial sweetener. Blend 1 tsp mustard powder with 1 tsp water and stir into the dressing. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.[msnwink]

    Chicken Fajitas

This recipe comes from our book World of Flavours - 80 delicious recipes proving that you can enjoy exotic tasty dishes from all over the world - and still lose weight.

A popular Mexican dish, fajitas are quick and easy to make [but allow time to marinate the chicken]. Soft tortillas are now available in most supermarkets.

    Serves: 4
    Syns per serving:
3½ Syns on Original, 7½ Syns on Green

283g/10oz chicken breast fillets, boned and skinned
    Juice of 1 lime
    1 tsp dried oregano
    1 tsp dried coriander
    Fry Light
    2 large onions, thinly sliced
1 red pepper, deseeded and cut into strips
1 green pepper, deseeded and cut into strips
    1 garlic clove, crushed
1 red or green chilli, deseeded and finely chopped
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
    4 x 28g/1oz soft tortillas
4 tbsp very low fat natural yogurt
    2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
    Lime wedges to serve

    For the salsa
2 garlic cloves, roasted in their skins in the oven
3 tomatoes, skinned, deseeded and chopped
    half red onion, finely chopped
1 red chilli, deseeded and chopped
    2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
    Juice of half a lime

    Method

    1. Cut the chicken fillets into thin strips and put them in a bowl. Pour the lime juice and herbs over the top. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Mix the salsa ingredients together in a small bowl, cover and set aside.
    2. Spray a heavy frying pan or cast iron grill pan with a little Fry Light and heat it until really hot. Add the chicken strips to the pan and cook them, turning frequently, over a high heat, until they are cooked and golden brown. Remove and keep warm.

    3. Add the onions, peppers, garlic and chilli to the pan and cook quickly over high heat, tossing them occasionally, until they are tender and slightly charred. Remove, season with salt and pepper, keep warm.

    4. Warm the tortillas and divide the cooked chicken and vegetables between them. Top with a spoonful of yogurt and some chopped coriander, and then roll up. Serve with lime wedges and salsa.

    Sounds yummy!!![msnwink]

    Roasted Veg Pizza

This Roast Vegetable Pizza recipe at only 4 Syns per serving is a yummy way to cut out the Syns and try some ‘different’ kinds of topping (anchovies optional!).

    Serves: 4
    Syns per serving:
4 Syns on Original and Green

    2 open cap mushroms
    1 courgette
    1 red pepper
    1 yellow pepper
    1 small onion
    4 tomatoes
    2 garlic cloves
    Fry Light
    142ml/0.25pint passata
    1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
    113g/4oz pizza base mix

    1. Prepare the topping ingredients; thickly slice the mushrooms and courgette; deseed and roughly chop the peppers; slice the onion; finely chop the tomatoes and crush the garlic.

    2. Preheat the oven to 200C/400F/ Gas Mark 6. Place the mushrooms, courgette, onion and peppers on a baking sheet, spray with Fry Light and roast for 25 minutes.

    3. Meanwhile, place the tomatoes, garlic, passata and vinegar in a saucepan and slowly bring to the boil. Simmer for 20 minutes until thickened. Then allow to cool.

    4. Add 5 tablespoons warm water to the pizza base mix and knead for 5 minutes. Then place in a bowl, cover with cling film and leave in a warm place for 25 minutes or until nearly doubled in size. Knead on a lightly floured surface, then roll out to approximately 32cm/13ins x 25cm/10ins and place on a baking sheet. Make a 1cm/0.5in rim around the edge by pressing into the dough with your fingers.

    5. Spread the tomato sauce over the base, arrange the vegetables on top, spray with Fry Light and bake for 10 minutes until the pizza base is cooked. Serve immediately.

OOOH Julie those recipes look yummy[msntongue] i'd save up my syns and have the full pizza[msnembarrased][msnsmile2]

i saw something on the tv the other night which i thought could be easily adapted to SW

it was stuffed baked courgettes and it went something like this

trim ends and cut courgettes length wise, using a spoon or melon baller s c r a p e out the inside
in a bowl roughly chop and mix the inside of the courgette with some chopped tomato, chill, finely diced red onion and garlic place this mix back into the cougette and top with any full flavoured cheese
bake in the oven for approx 20 mins [msntongue] sounds like my kinda thing, FREE on both plans and would make a nice change from my roasted veg[msnwink]

might give it a go tommorow

    Ryvita are a HE

Must admit I did feel hungry this afternoon but ignored it and waited for my dinner.

Oh I do hope that I have a loss, I have tried so hard this week I will be gutted if I don't.

dont let yourself go hungry Sally, you do need to eat to lose weight and if your body is telling you it's hungry then you really need to feed it, you could have had some pasta or a baked potato for lunch or even a quick omelette

i'm sure your going to be very successful, you have grasped the basics very quick[clap][clap][clap]

    night night Julie[zzz]
