Plan a week's worth of menus. Make a list based on this when you go shopping and stick to it - if it's not in the house you can't eat it! Chuck out all the stuff you shouldn't eat (can you bear to do that? or give it to a friend.

Allow yourself some treats every day - if you are an all or nothing sort of gal in relation to chocolate might be better to give it up altogether, and save your treats for a glass of wine or something else.

Putting unflattering pics around is a very good idea - can I take a collage of myself though!

Also, don't beat yourself up because you have fallen off the wagon (so to speak) - dust yourself down, and start all over again.

Give yourself little attainable targets and reward yourself - every 2½ or 5 lbs for example. A magazine, a book, nail varnish, a plant - anything as long as it is not edible (unless it's a special piece of fruit)!

Thanks for all the support girls.
I have just got back from Sainsbury's with a trolley full of healthy stuff..... no chocolate treats as just a small one is enough to set me going [msnsad] Maybe when I feel stronger.
I know what we are going to eat until at least Tuesday, so that's a start, I might have to wing it after that[msnwink]
I have bought a new cool bag for work hoping for warmer weather, at the moment everything just sits in the car till I am ready to eat it, but if it has been a bit warm it is a good excuse not to eat it and to stop by the shop for something fresh and probably sinful!!
I have also bought a new slimming magazine as other peoples stories really do motivate me, that's why I like to hear how well you are all doing, I wanted to be you Fiona, gong out and buying lots of lovely new clothes[msnsmile2]Well done[clap][clap]
Thanks again for the support I will report back in with my progress[msnsmile2]

Good for you Liz, I think we do a good job supporting each other on here because it's not easy being self-disciplined all the time.

Btw - you can DM Janny for the link to her site for the Cancer Run if you are interested.

Still at work, this will teach me, just about to pack up and head for home to walk the hounds, hoping ED has at least fed them!

Breakfast 1/2 tin beans (free) 2 slices dry wholemeal toast (healthy option)
Lunch Tuna Pasta Salad..Pasta (free) veg (free) low fat french dressing (free) Tablespoon of tuna (1 1/2 syns)
Tea stir fry.... a massive plate, noodles, beansprouts, mushrooms, peppers and onion (all free) and prawns (healthy option)
Another healthy option was the milk I've had in coffee throughout the day.

    Hi all!!!

Just a quick post from NYC, its still sunny but cooler and weather set to break Saturday[msnsad]

Shopping not going as well as had hoped although I did spend quite a lot in the Gap, got some stuff for us all, everywhere really busy, I even went down to China Town but it was just too busy to move[msnscared]

Done lots of sight seeing though, mainly for the little ones to see things they have never seen before, and enjoyed every minute.

I had a migraine on and off so did not eat last night, but had low fat cereal, melon, yogurt for breakfast, no lunch but for the FIRST time since Feb I went off the SW plan and went to Hard Rock, I had a Tuna steak in a bun with chips[msnoo][msneek][msnscared] I have done so so much walking that I hope it has not done too much damage, its not like I have had any puddings or anything[msnwink]

Keep up all the good work girls, and Fiona and Julieanne hope you are both looking forward to some Florida sunshine[clap][clap]

    Check in again soon!!

    Bye xx

Well, yesterday I managed my firs proper "good" day for a week.
    Green
    Crunchy bran and a banana
cheesy mashed potato with cherry tomatoes
    yoghurt
Savoury rice with chicken ( healthy extra) and 1/2 pack of Colmans sweet and sour sauce (3.5 syns)
    fresh pineapple[msnsmile2]

If I can stay on the straight and narrow for the weekend I reckon I will be back on course

    Good Morning

i feel much better today [msnsmile]

Paula your food diary looks great, i forgot to mention that food diary's are great for looking back over when you start to get stuck, so if you hand yours to the consultant tell her you would like it back just in case you ever need it, also you get two healthy A choices (extra milk or cheese)

Julie, come on you hardly went off the rails at all and with all that walking i'm sure one meal ain't gonna make any difference, glad your having such a great time with the kiddies

Fiona and Julieanne, hope you have a great holiday and bring us back some sun please!!! pretty please[msnsmile2]

    Have a great day everyone

    Mizzy
