Fiona I am exhausted reading your day today....good luck.
Its amazing the amount we woman managed to fit into a day, we're amazing!

    Diary - green day

Porridge (I am going to start sprouting oats soon)
Wholemeal Spaghett, with a tomato & herb sauce, with chopped up veggie sausage thrown in.
Roast Beef, boiled potato, green beans

Fruit, low cal biscuit, and yoghurt.

Its weird having Roast Beef on a green day, I guess the beef is a healthy extra, but it was in this week's menu plan!

Took Caitlin for her Clarinet exam this morning. When we arrived there she was told she could go and practise in a little room. 20 minutes later she came back to the waiting room and she had finished the exam.......without a good luck kiss and hug from her Mum[msncry][msncry][msncry]
She seemed pretty confident she had done well.

Just had weetabix for breakfast and fruit and special k bar for lunch. I am having minted lamb cutlets for tea and I'm drooling just thinking of them.

    Motivating article for Liesa..........

Even if you’re adhering to the best diet plan and the most effective exercise routine, if the people around you aren’t providing you a strong support network, you may still find it difficult to succeed at losing weight.

If you are concerned that your friends and family may not be the most supportive group, don’t fret. We have the help you need in seeking encouragement that can help you get to your weight-loss goals:

    Spell it out.
If your spouse or kids haven’t been providing the encouragement you want, it may be because they don’t know what you want. Sit down with them and explain what they can do to help you. Be as specific as possible. For example, you might say, “It would help if you could ask me twice a week how I’m doing on my diet,” or “Please, try to tell me I’m doing really well at least once a day.”

Remind them that actions speak louder than words.
Make sure your friends and family are aware that it’s not just their words that can help or hinder your efforts, but their actions, too. Explain how eating ice cream in front of you makes it harder for you to keep your resolve, while helping you prepare meals or eating the foods you do can go a long way to helping you succeed. You may be surprised at how much your loved ones are willing to do to help.

    Double or triple up.
Don’t rely too heavily on one person. No matter how close you are, he or she won’t be around all the time. Instead, round up support from several sources. It’s okay to ask three different friends to call and check in with you once a week. If you feel you need more accountability, have each friend ask you what you ate that day. Your best bet is to recruit one support person from home, one from work and one you see socially.

    Recruit a buddy.
Perhaps the best way to elicit strong support from someone close to you is to go through the experience together. If your spouse or a good friend needs to lose some weight, too, encourage him or her to start the diet with you. Explain that doing it as a team would be a good experience and that you could help each other with meal planning, etc. When the going gets tough, you’ll have each other to lean on.

    Support yourself.
Don’t forget one very important person in this network – you! You can be your own biggest cheerleader by patting yourself on the back when you’ve done well, rewarding yourself with a manicure or an outfit in a smaller size when you’ve had a good week and just keeping a positive attitude overall. Remind yourself that you should be proud of every good meal you eat and each exercise session you complete.

    Hi Everyone

i like the article Julie, i think a lot of people on here will find that helpful

i have a diet buddy but she has been awol for the last few weeks, when we started out together in jan she asked me to promise that i would nag and pester if she starts to waiver off the plan

so for the last 3 weeks i have nagged, pestered, and generally become a bloomin nuisance and it's obviously paid off as i have just had a lovely e.mail saying how all my e.mails and texts have helped to keep her on track and even though she is still snowed under at work she will be back at mondays class and expects a loss of about half a stone[msnsmile2]

i am having a red day today so had usual toast and jam for brekkie and have just had a breakfast for lunch (bacon, sausage, eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes)

i have a morrisons chicken chasseur for tea (2.5syns) so i just need to knock up a few veggies then i'm all set

Morning all from a wet Melbourne evening here! Had a nice sunny day, but this storm moved in so fast. I think it must be all the cyclones hitting us on both sides of Australia at the moment!

    Food Diary

    Porridge
Veg Sausages, Mushrooms & Egg on bed of salad (weird combo....but nice)
Pad Thai SW style.....yummo it was too!
Fruit & Natural Yoghurt, Skinny Cap, plums

Tomorrow I have a bit school night out at an Italian Restaurant, so it will be either pizza or pasta. I was thinking of a red day with either pasta or pizza base as a green extra. What do you think I should order. Pizza & Salad (one big slice) or a Pasta (entree size)???

    Good Morning

well i've been rushed off my feet for the last 24hrs getting the final paperwork into place so my daughters PA can start work[clap]

i had a good day yesterday and stuck to the food plan [angel]

Theresa i would say either go green and have a tomato based pasta dish then you can have plenty or if you must have the pizza then count it in your syns, as a rough guide Pizza has about 14-16syns per slice (based on a large slice from pizza hut) and it goes up to 24+ syns for stuffed crust types

normally if i going out somewhere and there's going to be food i try to remain "neutral" by having say eggs on toast as my lunch and then decide when i get there as to what to eat
i would also have a snack of fruit and yoghurt before i go just so i'm not starving and then blow it by making the wrong choices

good luck and have a lovely night out

    Mizzy

    ps where is everyone?[msnsad]
