We were once upgraded to first class to Orlando with BA when our son was only 18 months old. Thankfully, he behaved himself impeccably!
It was rather nice[msnwink]

I have to admit I managed to get my son upgraded a few weeks ago on a London-Vancouver flight[msnwink]
I am also very lucky as I have been upgraded in the past more times than I can remember, perks of being an airline employee an as crew travelling as passengers we always got Club or First[msnwink]
My best upgrade was from London all the way to Jakarta on our honeymoon we were going to Bali[msnwink]
