Favourite Place in Florida

Everybody has their own personal favourite place in Florida, be it Disney parks, Universal, Discovery Cove or further afield like Clearwater or Kennedy Space Centre. What's your favourite Florida place and why would you recommend it to others?

...secondly....I love the gulf coast, all the beautiful beaches and fantastic coastline.
I also love Magic Kingdom out of the theme parks. Every time I visit with my young children I feel like a child again myself!!![msnwink][msncool]

Difficult I know, but I like to know why people enjoy certain places. We've never been to Celebration before but lots of people have mentioned it on the forum, so we are planning on visiting next time we are in Florida.

I thought I might glean some further ideas if people can tell us their favourite places.[msnwink]

Should have said that my daughter would instantly say a shopping mall, but then she would say that if she was in London, Paris, Cannes, Rome because she loves the designerwear but at Florida prices

Crikey - I guess apart from our house (obviously ) I would have to say Cocoa Beach. The kids just love to surf there and Lee and I like Capt J bar and terrace for a nice drink chill out at the end of the day. In fact we like it that much we are renting a house there while the kids go to Space Camp

I love the Gulf Coast too, plus Celebration is one of my favourite places in the Orlando area and Winter Park and Millenia Mall[msnwink]

I also love Miami[msnwink]

Apart from our villa for me it would have to be Magic Kingdom. I still get a real thrill going there and no matter times I have seen SpectroMagic I still get emotional when it starts. Just a big kid at heart I guess!

Oooh, a difficult one - so many faves!

Love animals so I guess it'd have to be Seaworld, Animal Kingdom, Busch Gardens, Silver Springs, Disney Wilderness Preserve, Central Florida Zoological Park, Boggy Creek Airboats. Universal (I know that's not animals!). Oh, and our pool deck! [msnwink]

seaworld is our favourite, but after discovering Terra Verde we find we actually looked forward to having a day or 2 in, at the communal pool or around the villa, but i think anywhere is fab as long as its in florida!!!
