I noticed in my local(US) newspaper that Delta are advertising new routes to the USA from UK starting later this year.

Edinburgh to Atlanta starting June 5th 2006

Manchester to New York(JFK) starting May 15th

Obviously easy to get to any Florida destination from either of those cities.
