Headed off for Juno Beach in the morning after being at Ponderosa for breakfast. Decided to go to Epcot boardwalk for a few hours first as it was a lovely day. Never been there before. It was lovely. Very peaceful and quiet. Decided to sit on the little sandy beach area for a while watching the boats ferry backwards and forwards from Epcot. Lay on the sun beds. Finally, reluctantly decided to move on to our next destination - we were on a flydrive.
Headed off for Juno Beach and arrived at our destination 3 amd a half hours later. We didn't go the scenic route as we left too late but we arrived at Holiday Inn Express Juno Beach at about 5p.m.
New destination for us but Juno Beach goes on for miles and miles. Popular with power walkers and joggers. Got dark early so hunted for somewhere for Dinner and ended up in Wendy's. We were very tired so just unpacked and went to bed..... Next morning had breakfast in Hotel which was quite good. Scrambled egg an sausage. There was a waffle maker with the mixture in little tubs so you could make your own. Anyway, very hot day so walked along beachfront then went to Loggerhead Marine Park where they rescue loggerhead turtles that are injured and stranded. Then went back to Hotel and plonked by the pool for a while. Restless again so decided to drive down to Palm Beach which was about 1 hour away. Parked the car and walked around Worth Avenue and saw all the expensive designer shops (didn't dare go in though) Drove over the bridge to the coastline then found a Denny's for our evening dinner. Travelled back to hotel - still lots to see and do.....
