If you're looking for good prices, try http://www.bestbuy.com and, if you wait until their Friday after Thanksgiving sale, they'll probably be even cheaper! Wal-Mart also sell these so try http://www.walmart.com

I have no idea about video cameras, but I think you need to be careful about buying electical goods in the US as their voltage is different to ours and the plugs are different. If you got a camera with dual voltage charger and an adapter plug, that may be OK, but I'm really not sure.

We bought a digital camera from Walmart when we were there last month. We found that the prices were good and if you have any problems with it you can return it to Asda when you get back!

A friend did the same when he was there and saved a lot, I was in New York and bought a
load of extras for my camera and have had no problems. I asked when I bought and they said
I was still covered as they had agents in the UK and gave me a list of companies

If you have a UK membership then Costco (on Orange Blossom Trail) is good. We bought one last year for a relative from them.

And the good thing is that if it goes wrong you can take it back to any UK branch of Costco (or so they said....fortunately they haven't had a problem).

Also BestBuy is excellent for all things electrical (again on OBT).....they do cheap CDs too !

As Gillian mentioned, dual voltage is a good idea as you'll only need to buy an adaptor for the plug. If not, then voltage adaptors can bump the price up.

    Hi guys

Mikewj what make did you buy at Costco, as i am a memeber over here was wondering where my nearest one would be to Hampton Lakes.
I like the look of the new Sony DCR-PC105, in the Uk this is around £1000ish but at Best buy they have it for $1000=£600.
So the savings are well worth waiting until I get out there and did you say they are at OBT as well.
Millie how did you get round the voltage or was it a dual one.
I also noticed that the extras are a lot cheaper then over here.
Well thank you for all the great advice and I wish i was going tomorrow instead of Nov......

Best Buy is on Orange Blossom Trail, next door to Barnes and Noble and very near Linens 'n' Things and opposite the entrance to Florida Mall.

Costco is also on the left going up Orange Blossom Trail from the 192.
