I've always found Norwich union's annual policy quite competitve against other quotes.

We have just renewed our annual policy with Norwich Union Direct. They are among the cheapest, offer good cover, and last year when we had to make a claim they handled it very efficiently.

If you have annual cover and just keep renewing it you never have to worry about not being covered and it really doesn't cost that much more.
