Jill - keeping you up to date

Hi everyone and thanks for all your messages - it really is nice getting replies from everyone and I don't feel alone at all[msnsmile]

The weather forecast was for a maximum of 69F today but sunny. However, at 9am this morning I was sat by the pool with my coffee and I felt pretty warm. Within a couple of hours I was sunbathing quite happily, magazine, ipod and very comfortable.

Even though the shops were calling I really wanted to make the most of the sunshine I had missed over the last few months. If this is what Floridians call 'cool' then I'll take it everytime. Not sure if it's being south facing and protected by some trees, but there was no breeze and I did consider a swim but resisted.

Nodded off for a while but woken by the pool man and after that decided just to head for Walmart. I really needed to get some fresh food and fill the fridge with beer for my husband's arrival on Saturday, he's a man of simple needs[msnwink]

Managed to pass a couple of hours quite pleasantly, bought the intended beer but did buy some new bedding,a t shirt, a cute dolphin toothbrush (think these are for children really) and some candles.

Returned to the villa and once again sat outside with some juice and chicken salad. The cheesecake let me down!

Sun eventually set around 6pm but was a beautiful clear evening, if this is typical January weather then I'd recommend it because sitting outside is just perfect, warm enough to sunbathe but no sweating (oh - forgot us ladies just perspire).

All snuggled up now with a hot chocolate and biscuits in my nightclothes and ready for a evening of typical US TV!

Sounds like you are having a lovely peaceful time doing exactly what you want to do Jill. Good for you. Enjoy the rest of your stay and looking forward to the next weather report.

Really wish I was you Jill. At the moment your day sounds far better than mine -working, and fully kitted up in many layers of clothing to keep warm. I would love to be sat by our pool in nice warm sunshine drinking a can of beer. The best bit of my holiday in Florida is having breakfast sat by the pool. No chance of doing that here even at midday!!!

Jill your trip reports always inspire me, I really must book a trip by myself sometime, problem is someone always wants to come with me, and I'm not convinced that it's my company they want[msnwink]!!
