we will be in florida [calabay park] from 26/06 for 2 weeks we dont intend visiting a theme park on july 4th as I think the parks would be too busy to enjoy, however does any one know if the parks are busy all weekend or just on the main holiday.

From what rumors and some facts I have been reading about at numerous Disney discussion boards there is going to be possibly an unannounced public "test run" of the new ride Mission: Space at EPCOT during the 4th of July holiday period. Either the park will be normal with few guests knowing it may open OR...the place will be absolutely packed with hopefuls waiting in line for hours. I think its going to be the latter as Disney wouldn't miss this chance to hype their latest hi-tech super duper ride which isn't normally supposed to "soft open" until august. The official opening is later in the year around oct. I think.
Mission:Space has already random test openings, for photos and info check out www.wdwmagic.com/space_pavilion.htm so you may get lucky. It seems to be getting great reviews.
