Just been to Manny's Chop House on the 27...they were queueing out the door (Full of Americans too which is a good sign). An hour long wait. Decided to take their phone number and book a table at a later date. Appears to be an extremely popular place. Would recommend anyone do the same if they are planning on going there...Full report to follow.......

Manny's is not bad overall and I am a fan but the food is plain and simple home cooking, the salad is one of the tastiest around but if you want a really decent steak try somewhere like Paccinos or Charleys, I like my steaks fat and medium rare and had perfect steaks in both places. Absolutely hated the Outback on the two occassions I have been there.

Colorado house of beef will take some beating if you haven't been there yet. Outback is very good but Colorado house of beef shaded them.

Charley's would rate as my No.1, but it is rather expensive and I would only eat there on a special occasion.
Manny's is, however a close second and far more affordable.
When we were out last month, we did Charley's once (we weren't paying!!) and Manny's twice!
The salad bowl at Manny's is the best around in my opinion!

Just back from Manny's. Had to book a table and wait an extra 30 minutes but well worth the wait. Started off with some of the world's largest onion rings, mozzarella stix which went down well with the kids and as has already been spoke about, a yummy salad bowl. I ordered a 24oz Porterhouse (hungry after a day around Disney) which was very, very nice. Really nice tasty steak. The kids has a 100% beefburger with cheese (size big) but my wife ordered the filet mignon with blue cheese, boy was I jealous...About 4 inches by an inch thick, covered in blue cheese and I did get (a very small) taster, it simply melted in my mouth...highly recommend this one. We could not manage dessert however we believe we saw people who could not manage their main meal asking for a 'doggy bag.' Good simple down to earth restuarant with great tasting food!! Thanks for the recommendations!!!

You just can't beat the fillet mignon in the states.[^]

I have a theory about the tenderness of U.S. steak.

In the uk, when you want to get the herd in, your Farmer goes to the back door and shouts "Oi girls, let's be 'avin ee in now then"

In the States, your Farmer gets on his horse, with a few other Cowboys, and then travels a few days until he finds them, then wrangles 'em all the way back, shooting bandits and outlaws and yippyeehaain over a black coffee around the campfire.

Free range see, got to be more tender.
