High Grove Directions and other questions

    Hi,

Staying at High Grove. Could anyone tell me the best way of getting to both Disney and Universal? Also, any idea where the nearest place with internet access is?

    Thanks.

Your home owner will probably have all the info you need if you ask them. Some homes also have internet access.

    Hi,

They suggested straight down the 192. Also, the villa doesn't have internet access and I'm told the Super Walmart doesn't either.

    Hi Smithy

These are the directions we give to our guests from High Grove to get to Disney:

The easiest short cut to Disney is to turn left into Sherberth Road from the 192. Sherberth is at the 8th set of lights as you go along the 192. The 1st set is at Denny’s, and the 7th set is at Formosa Gardens. Once you have turned left into Sherberth Road, turn right at the first set of lights, after about a mile. You are then in the Disney complex and can follow the purple signs.

There is a possibility that the clubhouse may have internet access at some point so it may depend on when you are going. There is free internet access in the library which is in the shopping area alongside Publix on the 192 just before you get to the 27 junction.

Let me know if you need anymore help.

Smithy for Universal follow the same directions onto Disney property, you pick up the Osceola Parkway and get on the I4. If that is looking crowded come off the Osceola Parkway at the Gaylord Palms and turn left onto International Drive South - just follow that along until you come to signs for Universal and follow them.

We checked our emails lots from that library last January/February - just be aware that you have to sign up, and you could have a very long wait on some days[msnsmile]

Right across the street at the IPG/Best Western check in (there was a long black stretch limo out front), you could pay $5 for an hour, IIRC, of surfing.

Oh, and for you long stay visitors[msnsmile2], you can get a "tourist lending card" from the library as well...$20 or so..

    HTH someone!

The IPG/Best Western check in is probably the most convienient internet cafe as you can have a long wait at the library, also IPG's connection is much faster. They are not that strict on the time either, you pay your money at the front desk and then have to remember when your hour is up! The computers are always on so you don't get a card to log in which means they don't switch off automatically when your time is up.
Hopefully we will have internet access in the clubhouse at High Grove in the not too distant future.
    Julie
