Three old ladies are discussing the problem of old age.
One says, 'Sometimes I find myself with a loaf of bread in my hand and can't remember whether I need to put it away or make a sandwich.'
The second lady says, 'Sometimes I find myself on the stair landing and I can't remember whether I was going up or down.'
The third lady says, 'Well my memory is perfect - knock on wood.' She raps her knuckles on the wooden table, then says, 'Just wait till I answer the door.'
