Would like some advise, has anyone applied for a Visa to enable them to stay in the Country for up to 6 months, and if so could they please
pass on their knowledge.

I know one or two people who have these visa's. You simply apply for them through the embasey in london. You have to have a valid reason for wanting 6 months.
