I HAVE WAITED MONTHS TO USE THIS I GOT MY LITTLE GIRL FOR XMAS AND WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT IT WAS. I THINK I WILL BE TAKING IT BACK AND SAYING THAT IT DOES NOT WORK. HAS ANYONE ELSE GOT A CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN??

hi tracey
we bought our son one from argos and it works ok
but you cannot use just ordinary melted chocolate
you have to thin the normal chocolate bars like cadburys or galaxy down with vegetable oil as they do not contain enough cocoa solids for the chocolate to run smoothly
there was a leaflet inside ours with a website where you can buy pre-formulated chocolate and it also gave guidelines about cocoa solids etc
if your looking for chocolate it seems that tescos value chocolate has the highest cocoa solids at 50%
hope this helps Mizzy
thanks mizzy. i used galaxys chocolate and thinned it down as per instructions with vegetable oil. i also have some pre formulated chocolate to use at a later date but thought galaxy or cadburys chocolate the best tasting. i guess i was expecting something spectacular and it was not!

We got ours sent from the US and they recommended Belgian chocolate in the instructions. Haven't tried it yet.
In Lakeland Plastics they do sell specific chocolate for their fountains, but at £8.95 a bar it's ok for a party but a bit expensive for everyday use.
