Paula, it is all to do with the amount of people queuing at any one time. When i used to be a Manager at Tesco it had to be instilled that there could be no more than 2 people in the Checkout queue at a time which at this time of year is b loody rediculous. I had many arguments with Other Management about the Fact that it was a Customer Service department and by ramming all the Customers good down the conveyor belt as fast as you could was not giving the Customer good service.

As you can imagine i wasn't well liked there!!! lol
