    Orlando Villas Are Spot On

We just had a week away in the Normandy area. Stayed in a small listed 3 bedroom cottage, sparsley furnished with funiture that my grandmother would have thrown out. Bedding and beds were not much more than 'put me ups' kitchen equipment was ancient, the place was cold even with the heating and open fire going. In the garden we had a broken swing set, pool that was freezing. If you plugged in too many items the power tripped due to overload!!
The cost .....£600 for the week!!! No phone (or phone line), no cable/satelite, no internet access.
Just goes to show the villas on this site are awesome value for money. There is no comparison.

Couldn't agree more Martin. Florida villas are terrific value when compared to others. We paid £500 per week for a caravan in Wales a couple of years ago, with none of the comforts we take for granted in a Florida home.

We are staying in Yosemite Park for 5 days in a log cabin in June the rates are just under £900.00 .
    Why is Florida lagging behind?

Totally agree Martin. I pay £800 for a week in a very small apartment in Suffolk every August - very basic accommodation, with no extras such as DVDs, X-Box, TVs in every room, swimming pool, spa, etc, etc. Not even any towels and we have to take our own bedlinen!!

Precisely why, as Florida home owners who have devoted much time and money to FULLY equipping our homes, we are so miffed when cheeky enquirers try to beat down our already very reasonable and fair rates.

    Just to add my support.

You will not find better value for money than a Florida villa. Even the worst villa we have rented has been better than anywhere else.

I've been looking to rent accomodation in Wales (visiting family but don't want to stay with them!) and I am just amazed at what people will charge for a converted cow shed! There may always be a welcome in the hillside, but when I compare what is offered against what you can get in a Florida villa, I am quite amazed.

Egyptian cotton sheets, state of the art air con, sumptuous sofas, stainless steel appliances, access to MC 24/7, 50' pool deck, need I go on!

Florida villas are a fraction of the cost of villas in the Med, I recently saw a villa in Majorca for 1800 pounds a week at there was nothing special about it, definately not as plush and amenity loaded as the villas in Florida.

I couldn't agree more. I go to Centre Parcs every November and love it. For a midweek break in August in a luxury 4 bed villa the cost would be over £2000.00.

We paid £650 for a caravan in Cornwall 3 years ago. It was the grottiest one on a beautiful site at Treyarnon Bay. After that experience we decided to buy our own which does have all the modern comforts including washing machine, double glazing, central heating etc. We do not rent it out as we enjoy looking over the sea and cliffs in Perranporth during the summer months when it is too hot in Florida. If we rented out we can get £1200 per week and site has people queing up. It makes me mad when people try to knock prices down in Florida.

Your caravan does sound lovely but £1200 a Week for a caravan does put things in perspective.

This september we have booked a new 6 bed luxury villa overlooking a lake with 42" tv, games room ,jacuzzi for two weeks for £1200.
