My best present ever was when I was 11 years old and desperatly wanted a bike, Mum & Dad were very poor and I knew I stood little chance. On Christmas morning came downstairs and my brothers started opening their presents, as I waited patiently for my big present to come the pile became smaller and smaller I tried not to show my dissapointment as the bike never materialized but then I was told to look out of the window there was my Mum in her PJ`s riding round on a real big girls bike with a grin from ear to ear I burst out crying and have never forgot that Christmas day.

The best Christmas I can remember as a kid was 1963 (I was 10). My mum and dad bought me a pair of football boots, a football kit (no specific team that I can remember) and a ball. Went up Greenwich park on Boxing day in the snow to have a kick about.

Mine was getting my grandson home on the 24th December 2003.He was born on the 31st October 2003, at 27 and half weeks ( just under three months ) and weight just 2 pounds.Having him come home and given the all clear was the best present I could ever have been given.I have a photo of him lying on the bed next to my size 6 shoe when he is about 3 half months old and he is the same size as it.We even had a white christmas to, so it was even more special.
