I usually ask my guests to turn it up to around 78/79 during the day when they will be out, and also to leave all of the ceiling fans on. The ceiling fans help to circulate the air and keep the costs down. They also reduce the temperature in the home by a couple of degrees as well.

When you come back in again, you can turn it down to the recommended temperature and within about 10 minutes you will be lovely and cool again.
