    Where to stay?

    Hi,

We are debating going to Florida from the 11th to 25th October, but the villa we usually stay at is not available until the 16th. We are therefore considering staying in a hotel for the first five days. We have previously stayed at the Wildeness Lodge (which we loved), but felt that the rooms are a bit small.

We already have annual passes, so all we need is the accommodation.

Does anyone have any good recommendations - especially if they have a separate sleeping area for the kids. We are trying to keep the cost of this holiday down as it is an extra holiday that we are only debating taking.

    Many thanks,

    Euan

You could always stay in another villa for the first 5 days. Many owners are happy to let their villa for less than a week.

Or as an option if you don't want to move accommodation, you could try putting a general enquiry out on OV & VRV for the size of home that you need and see what is available for your holiday. It might be nice staying in a different area that you have never tried before.

Having spent holidays packing and unpacking as we were moving about, I much prefer to stay in one place if possible.

Euan, I agree with Kay, why not put an enquiry through this site. As I am sure you know, there are many beautiful villas on here. It will certainly save you hopping about during your stay.

It is our school holidays, so we will also be out from the 11th - 25th October.

I would agree about the packing and un-packing, but would it be unfaithful of us to stay in an alternative villa? I think if we were to stay in another villa then we would want to stay there for the whole fortnight, but I guess it is the convenience factor of staying in the one we know. We know that it will be clean and comfortable, we know all of the shortcuts, etc. Just laziness, I suppose, as we do love exploring somewhere new.

I have to admit it was nice being on-property with Disney, and the theming and atmosphere at the Wilderness Lodge was superb.

    Any more suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Euan

I agree with the other posts above - it would be a good idea to see what your other options are. I do understand what you mean about being familiar with the surroundings etc. But rest assured all the homes advertised here are beautiful, well maintained spotless houses after all they are our second homes (and in some cases third or fourth!!) Take a look and see what else is out there!!
