I used to go to Old Trafford to watch when he was playing. The crowd used to lean forward, (no seating then) and hold their breath whenever he got the ball.

Right, apparently he had a softness for Miss Worlds. I vaguely remember seeing him on the TV when I was wee with a beautiful blonde and she was a Miss World, I now know it to be Mary Stavin!

My son who is too young to remember George Best as a player (he's 16) is a big Man Utd supporter and has footage of George playing for Utd on a DVD. He was most upset yesterday by the lack of respect by certain football fans.
