God bless George Best who died at 1255 today, may he now rest in peace[msnsad]

I met him on a flight and even served him a G&T much to my surprise, but he was such a lovely guy.

It was enivitable it would end this way. I won't say anything more than that.........

Strange though it may appear I was wondering what Alex and Angie will be feeling at the minute. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

My best wishes, my prayers go to the family of George Best
To George, to me you will always be remembered as "The Flawed Genius "

George Best was always ready with this self-deprecating put-down when questioned on his lifestyle.

"I spent 90% of my money on women, drink and fast cars. The rest I wasted," one of his many famous remarks

    My best remembered quote
"I was born with a great gift, and sometimes with that comes a destructive streak. Just as I wanted to outdo everyone when I played, I had to outdo everyone when we were out on the town"

    Peace at last.

    Sad end for poor George

Another quote of his - ''I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered''

Saw it on BBC World News this morning. Very sad.
Saw Bestie live at Stamford Bridge and Loftus Road as a kid in the 70s. He was a true hero to us.
