I still enjoy a snowball and you can buy them made up with lime in Asda, four wee bottles in a pack and I used to sneak them in the trolley once in a while whenever we were back in the UK. Or of course homemade ones! I don't know why but I love Advocaat maybe I should try Maries recipie at the Xmad bash, now that woulod be a great ice breaker. Well done you[bowwave].

BTW I thought rather than clog up the slimming thread with naughty cocktail recepies I would dig this out.

My Mum loves lemon flavoured things so found this for her

    Lemon Pina Colada.

    3/4 cup pineapple juice
1/2 cup canned sweetened cream of coconut (such as Coco López)
    6 tablespoons white rum
    6 tablespoons citrus-flavored rum
    1/4 cup chilled whipping cream
    3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
    4 cups crushed ice
    Grated lemon peel
    Ground nutmeg

Place first 6 ingredients in large blender. Add ice. Cover and blend until smooth.
Pour into two 14-ounce glasses. Garnish with grated lemon peel and nutmeg.

    Coconut Rim
Dip the rim of each glass in water, then press into a bowl of coarsely crushed toasted shredded coconut. To crush the coconut easily, rub it several times in the palm of your hand.

    Makes 2 servings.

Not sure if Ceri i'll approve

    Cranberry Mojito

1 bunch fresh mint, trimmed (about 1 cup)
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 3/4 cups light rum
1 1/4 cups fresh lime juice
3/4 cup frozen cranberry juice cocktail concentrate, thawed
2 10-ounce bottles sparkling water, chilled
Cranberry Ocean spray can be used instead of last 2 ingredients.

Using a wooden spoon or muddle crush the mint with sugar in bottom of large pitcher. Add rum and lime juice; stir to dissolve sugar.
Mix in thawed cranberry juice concentrate and water or Ocean Spray. Mix in 6 cups ice.

    Serves 6.

I know I should be in bed already but I had to reply [msnsmile2]

This was the menu from our Tiki Bar

By far my favourite cocktails are

Cool Breeze = ˝ oz white rum, 1˝ oz malibu, 2 oz pineapple juice, 1 oz cranberry juice & a dash of coconut cream
shake all ingredients together with ice and serve over crushed ice - its pink and its yummy [msntongue]

Fuzzy Shark = 1˝ oz peach schnapps shaken with 4 oz orange juice - pour over crushed ice and gently pour ˝oz blue curacao down the side of the glass [party1]

This is me and DH in front of the bar

and me and my sis once we had had a few cocktails [party2]

and a jolly good time was had by all [stupid1]

If anyone wants to see all the pics from the party and doesn't have my website address then feel free to DM me and I will happily send it

    Elaine
