Idiots guide to changing your avatar please!

can get as far as putting it on the forum as an insert, how do I make it my avatar, when that says I need a webpage??

And this was meant to be on the other avatar topic, crumbs can I do anything right???[msnembarrased]

This is how i do it!!

1. Save the pic I want on my computer
2. go to pixpond.com, scroll to the end to browse, find image, copy and paste the url and put it in my profile - easy peasy!!

Tricia, that doesn't always work as some websites have a 'block' on linking to the avatar on their website because it uses all their bandwidth, which is how come avatars sometimes 'disappear'.

The best thing to do is, if the avatar isn't copyright, right click on it and save it to your PC and then use Insert File Attachment on a forum post to upload it. Then right click on it and copy and paste the URL into your profile.

Thanks Blottie, been at the gym all afternoon (still trying to get rid of those pounds, I wish I could say it was being more successful but I think I still resemble Pooh bear more than anything else!!)

One day I will get how to do this! Of course, should have asked the daughters, they always know these things!
