Most definitely a bottle of nice red the evening before with our take away [)] House will be left in a bit of a mess - but always book the cleaners in while we are away...
Suitcases will be packed the evening before - but only half, if that (you know why).

Lots of holiday n Disney songs along to the airport and I'm trying NOT to be more visibly excited than the kids age 7 and 4 [msneek].

Ohh yes and lots of dancing on the way home from work at least a few days before departure.

It's just like christmas in our house if the whole family go, I have to spend the day organising the animals - kennels, cattery and livery yard, then it's back to attempt to sort out packing, 15yr old daughter wants to take whole wardrobe and boots makeup department (not counting the fact that she already has a shopping list), 14 year old son, wants to take nothing (can he buy it all there), husband packs nothing too, it's already there, same here, but despite the fact I make a list everytime I go, I still can't remember what I left. So, we have a suitcase within a suitcase, for those unforseen purchases!!, early night for everybody else, housework for me, I drive to the airport whilst everybody sleeps, then I sleep on the plane. That I think covers it

We stay at a Gatwick Hotel the night before so our holiday starts 24 hours before the flight. We walk down to a family pub for an evening meal and a few drinks to help us sleep.
I start to pack the clothes about 1 week before we are due to go, clean the car, clean the house top to bottom.
Buy lots of sweets and children's activities for the flight.
