    1st timer

    Hi All
I am an Orlando first timer (virgin) oops. My wife, 5 year old son and myself are booked to go four 4 weeks. Leaving Scotland on 5th July 2006, can't wait. I say that I am booked, well the flights are booked. Now I am looking for a villa with a pool. Where do I start? Too much to choose from. I have had some contact with Villa owners.
    1. Glenbrook Resort £1600 including taxes, 4 bed + pool.
    2. Southern Dunes £1600 including taxes, 3 bed + pool.
    3. Terra verde £2400 (wow) including taxes, 4 bed + pool.

Any advice would be most welcome. I really don't know where to start.
And this is just getting the villa, wait to I start asking for advise on theme parks etc, etc.

    Many Thanks
    Marko

    Hi Mark

Welcome to the forum. If you go to the links at the top of page and you will get details on all the communities.

It all depends were you want to be closer to. But to be honest most of the villas are within 20 mins to universal and seaworld and 10 to 15 mins to disney.

went we went in august we stayed on championsgate in the sanctuary communtity and it was great and only 10 mins from gates of disney.

Anyway any other advice free feel to dm me. believe me you will get so much advice on this forum. Theyre all great.

    regards rebekah

    Hi Mark,

Are you going to love Florida.[msnsmile2]

About your villa. I would be very wary of booking a "cheap" villa £400.00 per week in the peak season is cheap and you will probably get what you pay for.
I don't know these resorts well enough to make comment, however I do know Terra Verde, I know you will find a beautiful villa in a beautiful community which has plenty of things for you to do on your day off from the parks.

Welcome to the forum anyway[msnsmile2]ask away and you won't be disappointed with the results, also you won't go far wrong getting tickets from this site

    Hi Mark
well if you haven't already ,you can put a search out on the above sites....i'll give you the links

    http://www.orlandovillas.com/
    http://www.villasflorida.com/
    http://www.onlinefloridavillas.com/

The main thing is to decide what you want in a villa..most of these will be centrally located and ideal for all of the attractions.
As for the park ticket's you can't go wrong by using the link above...that goes for car-hire as well if you haven't got that booked already
Good luck and have a GREAT time , i'm sure you will want to return again and again once you have been

Hi Mark, when looking for a villa you need to check that it fits your needs ie; bedroom wise(double beds, twin beds, pool, phone, maybe internet if you want this, games room?if you prefer)Next check for feedback from other guests and better still book a villa from here or a site like this where the owners are up front with you and you can ask advise, always a positive. Most of the sites have good access to the parks and usually have a map on their sites to show where they are situated.

so many to choose from, but what one has that "just" right thing for you?? we stayed at Terra Verde, and we loved it so much we have booked to go back there next year!! (not the same time as you sorry)[msnwink] free form communal pool, volley ball half court (think its called that) small play area for the kids, the sauna and spa, etc etc i could go on!!
read all the right ups and see which one suits your needs!! lucky things!!!

Hi Mark, as suggested by Sharon go through the links and you will not be disappointed with the villas on this site. You will find one that will suit what you are looking for. I wouldn`t leave booking the villa to late as we have been booked for these dates for ages now and we are still getting enquries in that we are having to turn away. We`re also from Scotland and as you know it`s our busy time of the year for holidays. Once you get there I`m sure you will have a fantastic time and want to go every year.

Hannah is right, don't wait too long before booking a villa as July/August are obviously very popular months and you may not find too many villas have availability for 4 weeks.

i think this time of year could become very popular especially now we have got penalties being introduced in the UK for those parents who take their children out of school during term time, allowing us 10 days annual leave but even that is monitored, (if your child has had too much time off during term time for no good reason they may refuse the holidays,) well july 5th, kids may still be at school down here in the south, but as its wind down time at the end of term families maybe more inclined to go away then!!! especially to the sunshine state????????

dont leave it for too long!![msnwink][msnwink][msnwink]
