    American holidays

    Can anyone tell me when the USA major hols are. When is Thanksgiving? Are there any other hols that don't match up with ours?

    I don't know about all the others but Thanksgiving is on 24 November this year - it's always the last Thursday in November.

    Actually I think Thanksgiving is always the fourth Thursday in Nov, which is usually the last one, but not next year [msnwink]

    Just been checking my calendars for Thanksgiving Days as I was a little confused (age thing I think)
    2006 - November 23rd
    2007 - November 22nd
    2008 - November 27th

    Yes you're right, it is the 4th Thursday not, as I said, the last one. It's definitely not on Wednesday 23 November 2005 though.
