Wednesday 19th October -
Another early morning for all of us, breaksfast at IHOP, yum, then off to Blizzard Beach for the day.
Arrived just before opening, was looking pretty busy, so everyone had instructions to find 7 sunbeds together before they do anything else. Once we had claimed our beds the 4 girls went off together, didn't see them for about 3 hours[msnsmile2]. Ann, Peter and I were left to sort everything out, like the clothes that had just been thrown down in the rush to get going, a refillable drinks bottle was purchased and a lockyer. We then set off for Runoff Rapids, family raft ride before flaking out for a rest. No sooner had we got comfortable the girls arrived back wanting us to go on things with them. Off to the toboggans and double dipper, we all went of these, great fun. Jessica was now asking Peter when was he going to go on Summit Plumment with her, there was no way Ann, Sarah or myself were having a go, Rachel and Hannah had been on it before and said once was enough for them. Off they went, luckily there was no queues. I stayed at the bottom and could just make out when it was their turn, only because Jessica had a bright pink cossie on. Everyone then had a go on slush gusher, well not everyone, Ann and I didn't[msnembarrased].
Had a brilliant day and was reluctant to leave, went straight back to villa for a shower and change and popped out later for dinner, not sure where we went that night, but it must off been nice.
Thursday, another day off the parks. Went out for breakfast and thought it would be nice to have a walk round celebration, something we always manage to do once. No sooner had we got there when Rachel needed the loo, couldn't find one anywhere, walked all around looking, Peter then went into a shop and asked them, 'in the town hall' he was told and pointed. He started off and I told him that the town hall was here not there, but off he went, no loos, back to were I thought the town hall was and at last loos. So hot and bothered then that we left and went shopping to Prime Outlets. Spent a while there and made another few purchases
When my sister was in Gap the man at the till was chatting to her and mentioned about a hurricane, first we had heard of it. I never watch the TV while away and if the girls put it on they watch rubbish programmes. Never gave it much thought and off to Walmart it was. Needed some water and it still didn't sink in when the shelves were empty[msnembarrased]. It was only when we got back to the villa and Sarah had a text message from her Dad and he mentioned Wilma that we put the tv on for the weather, and yes there it was, heading towards Cancun. Still, a few days away from us so didn't let it worry us. Went to Denny's for something to eat and the food was OK but the service was terrible. Now we are not ones that make a fuss and often don't say anything, just never go back. When we came to pay the man on the till asked if we had a nice meal, Peter then said no, nothing wrong with the food but told him about all the things that were wrong with the service. He was very sorry and saif we should have told him before, anyway knocked 25% off our bill. Still won't ever go back there after that.
Friday, another hot and sunny day and it was MGM today. Was looking forward to this as wanted to go on R&R coaster, got to the front of the line last time and then chickened out[msnembarrased], this time I was determined to do it. Also was longing to see fantasmic as we had never seen it before. We didn't get there for opening as we knew that fantasmic was going to be on at 7pm and didn't want to tire ourselves out completely. First thing was TofT, not for me this one, Peter, Rachel, Hannah and Jessica love it. Sarah said no way but Ann went for it, braver than me. We then went to get fast passes for R&R, once we had these we went off to do some other things. Sarah and Rachel were asked to appear in the backlot tour, which they did, have it all on film[clap].
