Thornton's continentals are my favourite at home but I do enjoy Musketeer bars while we are there.

The rest of the family prefer to take chocolate from home.

I just love Ghiradellis Chocolate. I only tried it for the first time last year and brought a big bag home with us. Only thing was it got a bit squashed in my hand luggage but it still tasted delicious. Does anyone know if you can get it in the UK?[easter1]

Although you can get Cadburys and Mars etc they don't taste quite the same so we always take some Cadburys with us[msnwink]

I just posted in another thread about Cadbury Chocolate. It tastes different in Australia, not as creamy. I recently found out that they have had to add a chemical to it in Australia, to stop it melting so quickly, and hence its adjusted the taste! If they made it to English recipe, it would melt! Have you had Irish Cadbury chocolate....O.M.G......sheer heaven! So I'd say that's why it tastes differently in Florida!

Back to importing stuff. I know in Australia you can't bring most things through, but if food stuffs are prepacked and still in manufacturers wrappers, you can bring them in. This from one of the strictest countries! You can't bring home made foods, or fresh fruit or veggies. I'm often hearing about people copping a huge fine for carrying at Apple in their bag!

We were on hols with a Diabetic [ a doctor actually] whose sugar went so low, so suddenly, he was almost comatose - his wife [ a nurse] was feeding him fries he couldn't chew and I ran off and bought a coke and gave him that - brought him round fast at least. Anyway, after that, he always made sure he ate something regularly, and used to keep M n'M's with him as they didn't melt
I'm not so fond of choc, but I can tell you that Mars bar is milky way in Florida, as my son loves those and the kit kat chunky.
If I was having Choc I need a good filling - CDV tempted me with her creams
