Sundays puzzle................what does he say?

[Frosty]

An explorer was captured by a tribe whose chief decided that the man should die.
The chief was a very logical man and gave the explorer a choice.
The explorer was to make a single statement.
If it was true, he would be thrown over a high cliff.
If it was false, he would be eaten by lions.

What statement did the clever explorer make that forced the chief to let him go????

Ok he says "i will die by been eaten by lions"

Because the chief is a logical man, he has to let him go, why ?

Because if he did feed him to the lions then that would make his statement true, and if his statement is true, he should have to be thrown over the cliff.

But the chief can't throw him over the cliff as that would make his statement false and he would have to be fed to the lions.

So the chief can't do either and has to let him go.[msnwink]
