    Fireworks Viewing from DTD

Has anyone tried to view any of the firework displays from Downtown Disney. If so, where is the best place to view.

Not done the downtown disney, but if you stand on the bridge at the Boardwalk you get a lovely view of the Epcot fireworks

Great idea, on all the times we have visited Orlando, never been to the Boardwalk. We are with friends this Christmas, not planning on visiting the Disney parks but one of the party wants to see the fireworks. Thanks for that Sharon.

Ralph and Claire - if you want a really great view of Epcot fireworks without going into the park you could try this http://www.orlandovillas.com/florida...ns_cruise.aspx

Wishes in MK can be seen from the beach at the Grand Floridian or the Poly. Go and watch the water pageant nip inside for a drink and then back out to watch Wishes.
The best place to watch a panoramic view of all the Disney fireworks in Downtown, used to be the top floor of the Wyndham but since Arthurs 27 closed they may not have reopened the top floor.
They still have the few fireworks in DD at midnight don't they but they aren't worth a special visit.

That sounds fantastic Caroline, might be a bit difficult to book as would need a week of work to ring at the right time, but definitely well worth it.

There is a knack to it Liz - when you call you get the normal recorded message ie press 1 for this 2 for that etc write down the combination of buttons that you have to push to get to speak to the Disney employee, then when you call at about 30 seconds before 7am (Florida time) just key in all the buttons and you get straight through. Hope that makes sense!

    Hi Ralph & Claire

If the mood takes you and you fancy a bike ride, you can hire a "bike" to ride around the boardwalk, they are the ones that seat at least four people and you can get a larger one too. It's good fun. Nice atmosphere at the Boardwalk too.

Once we rented a boat from Downtown Disney and watched the fireworks from the lake. Was a fun experience.
