The thing with some debit cards is that some banks charge a fee for using them abroad

We bank with TSB and if we use our debit card abroad we get charged £1 per transaction!

This can soon add up especially if you use it all the time.

We take our Nationwide Card and our GM Card.

Never had a problem or a Card charge from these!

We used our debit card all the time for our two weeks which included paying for goods in shops and using the ATM on three occasions and the total cost came to around £10.

Come on guys is it really worth the hassle of going out to get the cheques and having to sign, produce evidence, Take any back you dont use for the sake of a tenner.

Who takes them back, I keep them for next time. I still have some from ages ago when I bought a load when it was $1.85.

I wouldn't dream of taking them back. I got my last lot just before Christmas last year and got $1.85. I'm not going again until next July but I'm keeping an eye to the rates.
