Hi

Travelex seem to give a great rate for TC's and currency but I'm a little reluctant to leave it to the very last moment - when actually arriving at the airport - to pick up my TC's and currency !

Has anyone tried the service (via Gatwick) and was it OK?

If there's a problem I will have literally no time left to sort anything else out?

Any replies gratefully received - we fly Saturday !

I have - for this year. And haven't really got an answer from someone who's used the service - just comments regarding using the Travelex site for rate quotation.

I'd like an opinion from someone who's used the service ideally.

I use them online all the time mate but i arrange to pick them up before i go. The last couple of times i have picked up my currency from Heathrow normally some time before i am due to fly. You can also arrange to pick it up from a local Travelex to you if you have one and you will always get the online rate and not the rate in the shop. I have never had any hassle ordering from them online and will do it again in the future.

In August this year we ordered our US Dollars via Travelex 3 days in advance of our departure to Florida. On the morning of our flight we arrived at Manchester Airport gave them our internet currency booking confirmation which we printed off the internet and within 2 minutes we had our money. So simple and they even count it out for you.

I'm fairly sure that you don't have anything to worry about.

Yes did it this year, no problem at all, other than I'm still waiting for my triple BA miles.

we use Travelex all the time Gatwick,Manchester, book your currency online 3/4 days before you travel
Print off the confirmation take to the Travelex Desk at the airpotr
The money will be in hands in minutes

Have to agree with the other comments, ordered currecny online and collected from Manchester airport, no problems what so ever and very helpful staff if you need to call.

My brother just used them. He got a great rate on the internet, they promise to pay you back if you find anyone on the internet with a better rate. He just collected after check-in and before going through security, all easy no problems. Travelex rate was better than anywhere in the highstreet including banks and post office.
