    I've developed a new addiction.

Other than this forum. My daughter mentioned to me last night about two TV channels where viewers bid for items. They are 'Bid TV ' and
'Price Drop '. I asked her to find them for me on the TV and have been spellbound since. The goods start off at a really high price, and then begin to drop dramatically. Even if you take a chance, and bid high at the beginning, you only pay whatever the final bid has become. For example there was a ladies Elle watch in a lovely red presentation 'purse' which can be used also, on earlier, the start price was £109 I think, when it dropped to £20 I phoned up for one, the price eventually went down to £13, so that is what I pay. I am thrilled to bits. I must get a grip though, no housework done yet. Chloe.

Kaye and myself have had loads of Bargains off of Bid YV from Watches to Wine, Bikes to Jewellary. I bought an 18ct gold, 1 and 1/2 ct Diamond Bracelet off there for Kaye(Call me a cheapskate), was originally over £600 and i got it for £142. Kaye got me a £350 Mountain bike for £120. You get some naff stuff on there but the majority i would say is all good Great for xmas pressies

We can receive these programmes on Freeview (when it works which depends on weather conditions).

I've looked at these channels, and assumed that they make up their money by the amounts they charge you for the call. Am I barking up the wrong tree, or is the phone charge a one off or per minute, and do you have to stay on the phone until the end of the auction or can you just quickly call register your intent to buy and then hang up ?

My husband often gets things from here.

A few weeks ago he told me that he saw a nice present for me. I was thinking a watch, a ring or maybe a bracelet[msnsmile2]

No, it turned out to be a set of saucepans[msneek]

Good job he never phoned, you can guess what I would have done with them and him[msnwink]

Chloe, it was only OV that weaned me off my QVC shopping Channel addiction. John and Roger have saved me thousands!![msnsmile2]
I must admit to peaking at channel 630 quite a bit recently, all in the interests of Christmas shopping you understand[msnwink] The credit card has taken a bit of a hammering[msnsad]
