    british magazines

    hi all,
i was wondering, are british magazines avaliable out there? i usually take a lot with me to do a lot of reading in the evenings but i think if i take 2 weeks worth my luggage allowance will be taken up by womens weeklies! does anyone know if you can get magazines like chat, take a break, pick me up. those kinds of magazines. i dont really enjoy the ones like cosmopolitan and things like that.

Kerry, They may not be the same titles ie. take a break etc but they do a US version of similar mags and you can find them in places like Walmart

You can find Hello, OK etc. Walgreen at the corner of 27 and 54 has a good selection though they are pricey. Also the American equivalents can be found anywhere, People, Star etc though there is obviously more on US celebs in those so you wont find anything on Posh and Becks, Charlotte Church, Jordan, the latest winner of Big Brother et al. People sometimes leave English magazines in the villas when they go and after nearly three years living here, I open them up and people stare out at me from the pages and I think "who??"

Try and fit as many as you can from the UK. Mel does not bother with the ones from the US as she don't think they are all that good.

I like to take a few magazines with me to read on the plane as well as leaving them in the villa.

I always used to take magazines with me - but found I never got time to read them. Florida is such an 'action packed' holiday!

I can't think of a post that would escape censorship so I shall refrain.

The 'I Love Orlando' magazine, is free and great for browsing.
I collect all the free stuff about the places to go and thigs to see and enjoy just flicking through those. The only mags I take are the ones I get at the airport for reading on the plane.
I have never noticed UK mags over there.

I usually take a magazine on the plane, but I prefer reading books. I love to see the books other people have left behind

Me too Liz - I always take books that I have read to stock up at the villa, and at least 2 I haven't - I love reading on holiday
