Blimey Mary, yes, after that story, I'd have bought you Sat-nav myself.[laugh][laugh][laugh]

Less than £5 a day compared to the overall cost of the holiday I would say is good value<blockquote id="quote" class="ffs">quote:Originally posted by Macka
(I'll whisper this....I thought the Sat Nav was a bit expensive at 100 quid for 3 weeks, so I'm not going to bother)

We looked at that design of house on Celebrations....and a few real Victorian ones nearer the coast when looking to move to FL a few years ago....in the end they are all a bit too New England...I wanted to get away from that and more into a FL looking home...but that is a very nice house.....we have one built in the 1800's just down the road from us on the Cape......I would love to buy it..but would need the odd few spare millions...and I looked at a huge one to make into a guest house in New Bedford a few months ago....its a beauiful design...
Chrizzy,
about $480,000-00 when the photos were taken in November 2001. Now over 1 million!!!

I'm glad I don't pay the taxes on that......they were still around $480k base model when we looked early 03...they went up a few months later......the Real Victorian we looked at near the beach was $125k at the time.....lovely home..but street parking....
We were looking for a place to remind us of the Cape at first....but when the plans of the more FL looking homes dropped on the mat....we changed our minds and wanted something different than what we live in now......we live in the historical part of town on the Cape........so I've become very into homes inkeeping with the State or area.....I liked the Victorian in Celebration because a lot of the first homes built in FL were in that syle until they found out that lower single storey homes weather the storms better..or were easier to repair or rebuild..the same with homes with arches and different level roofs to break up the wind...
I like the town houses in Celebrations...the Bath or London circle look....
Celebration looks really beautiful, I am so keen to tell John about it when he gets home[msnsmile2] I see there is a map on the Celebartion website too![]()
We love Celebration too, had a lovely meal in Antonio's. Its worth a look round at Christmas and Halloween to see all the houses decorated, some of the residents really make an effort.[msnsmile2]

We went there for the first time last week and it was gorgeous. Had a Sunday brunch in the Market Street Cafe which was excellent.
Will have to go back there soon [msnsmile2]

I thought it might be nice to check it out , particularly as we are there during Halloween season, shame we actually leave on the 28th Oct, could have let the kid loose for trick & treating there!! We are going for the ZOMBIE School girl look this year!! Oh well, look like a normal school day then![]()
