Tell Mrs Macka not to fret, we booked 2x8 seaters through this site for our recent trip and received excellent service from start to finish, (someone from the next village wouldn't lead you astray [msnwink]).

We have just returned from our villa in Orlando, and as usual we booked car hire from this site. I can only add to the complimentary comments above. Even if it wasn't the most competitive site to book through, the service which accompanies each booking cannot be beaten.

We had to make unexpected changes to our rental during our stay, and it was handled efficiently and speedily. Many thanks to Sarah.[clap]My daughter's last minute decision to hire a car was also accommodated.

Last year, friends who were going out to visit their daughter, who on the eve of their visit had a serious road accident, phoned me at the last minute to see if they could hire a car, since she had written off the one they were due to drive. Naturally they were very worried about their daughter and needed the car to be available on their arrival - with literally hours to spare it was taken care of. They were 2 very relieved parents, I can tell you.

I would not hesitate to recommend Mrs Macka to use www.floridahire.com

    Prices - unbeatable
    Service - incomparable

I am about to book a car from the site, but on going through the booking details and terms, I noticed that the person who books and pays for the car must be the nominated driver, does this matter, as I wont be driving but would like to do the booking.
    thanks.

    Macka,
As Tina Turner song says "simply the best....."

That is what I have found booking through this O.V. site[msnsmile2]

Do be careful, (or though this was with another rental company) that the person at the car hire desk does not try to sell you any "extras " you don't need like extra cover for this or that. The car hire you get from hiring through this site should give you all the cover you need for your holiday stay car hire....you can check with someone " in the know " if you want to have a more in depth explaination of insurance cover.
On my first visit , not being familiar with car hire I ended up paying $165 in un-necessary expense. I did complain and got a refund[msnsmile2]
I was even charged for someone refueling the car on return in addition to the fuel, I think I was charged a higher price too than at the pumps.[msnmad][msnmad]

Shouldn't make any difference, I booked both our vehicles so was the nominated driver on both but I never drove one of them during our stay.

Yes Lin, got the T-shirt. Thanks.

First few times we visited, the car rental desk, well, I could only describe it as an ordeal.

I wouldn't consider anything but the full monty as far as the hire package is concerned.

As long as you specify a drivers name on the booking, then it does not have to be the person that pays. You can book and pay on their behalf, but just enter their name as the lead driver.

As long as you have a non US license, in English language you will be OK. Otherwise I'd advise getting an International driving license.
