    Dog Shop Old Town

Can anyone remember the name of the pet shop in Old Town??? I have been looking on the web for hours to find a very small ramp for my 18 year old Jack Russell to help him get in the back door. He had a 'stroke' a couple of months ago and has made good recovery but has a problem getting in the house. Thought perhaps the shop in Old Town (or any other place you can think of) might sell 'mobility' products on-line.

Thanks in advance to any suggestions.

Not sure if you want it for US or UK, I have found sites for both:
    http://www.prizepets.co.uk/Public/Car_Dog_Ramp/4180.htm

    http://www.pet-dog-cat-supply-store....p-flypage-2996

    Hope these are of use

Thanks for the replies. Looking at the price of these (and I only want a very shallow one), I think I will try to make one (with toilet roll holder and sticky back plastic)! Blue Peter style. Just had another thought, I could look in local paper for handy man.

I seen one of these ramps for sale in the Continental airlines magazine when we flew with them in April. They were quite pricey if I remember correctly.

I know this sounds very blue peter but couldnt you make one out of bricks and put a rubber mat over it? You can tell Im a spendthrift!

I remember being quoted approx £85 for one for my older OES 3 years ago and is made specifically for Honda CRV. I suppose a system of bricks wouldn't be any good? Mine tore her cruciate ligament when 2½ (now aged 8½) and despite 2 ops it has gone wrong again and I am thinking of looking for one, although I bet she won't use it!

I forgot that I had put a large slab outside our cat flap for our 15yr old cat as he was having trouble getting in and out somedays, and that seems to have done the trick.

Thanks for the suggestions. Bricks might help as a start. Trouble is that because it's just for the back door step I do not need a big ramp. At the moment I just lift his back legs up to help him, but that is not doing my back any good either.
