It struck me that I haven't posted any photos for a while so here are some snaps from the Southport Air Show.
Apologies for the grubby marks. I must have a bit of dust in me CMOS.
If ever I needed an excuse to buy that 300mm lens I've been promising myself I think this is it. I've put it on the list along with the 12mm wide angle for the Epcot fireworks. It's a tough job, but someone has to do it!
A bit of cropping and colour balancing and a couple of these wouldn't look half-bad.
Great photos Steve. We went last year had a good day there. Barbara
Can't beleive you were there. I'll try to post our pics tomorrow. Our house backs onto Victoria Park and on to the beach. We watched the airshow from our top floor balcony. What a lovely day too.
Great pics Steve, much better than ours.
My little boy was desperate to go but hubby had to go to Chicago[msnsmile]

Great photos Steve. We live in Southport too and went to the Airshow year after year with the children but we didn't manage to get many decent photos as the planes are going so fast. We couldn't go this year but we were on our way home down the Coastal Road and Promenade just as the Red Arrows were finishing the Show and it was great - they were flying right over us, and along the beach beside us and doing all their passes just in front of us as we were moving along. The best view we've ever had of them [msnsmile2]
Great photos as usual Steve[msnsmile2][msnsmile2][msnsmile2]
