I decided to renew my passport early due to the new rules from October and have sent off one of the last semi grinning passport photos. This monrning on our local radio station they were talking about the 'no grins' photos. One thing I was not aware of was that fringes are meant to be pulled back for the photo because of the new technology that will eventually read the pictures. Having had a fringe for ever I do not think I would want a photo without it - as I would feel it was not me. What did make me laugh though is it is not okay to obliterate any of your face with a fringe but it is okay to wear a headscarf for religious purposes that comes slightly across the forehead which then does not leave the face completely bare.

The passport application comes with instructions about the photograph.
    It is a funny leaflet.
Its OK for full head scarf, but the guy can't wear a hat. Which made me
think what about Sikhs can they wear there turban. In this Politically Correct
world, this leaflet could be about 14 pages of photos )

    Also
No one else must appear in the photo!!! Which means that 3 months old baby has got to sit up
and put his own money in the machine and get his photo done )))

Took her to Costco and the wife held her up while the photographer took her photo. Only her in the photo.

New passport regulations come into force on Monday( I think) Dom. Apparently the new enhanced digital equipment cannot recognise a smile Doesn't apply to current passports, only new ones[msneek]<blockquote id="quote" class="ffs">quote:Originally posted by domster
