    New Orleans flooding

Has the Disney area suffered any knock-on effects from the recent disaster in New Orleans and the surrounding area? Looks like a huge area has been affected.

No - Disney is a vast distance away from it and is not likely to be affected. New Orleans is nowhere near Florida.

To give you some idea, it's around than 2 hours flight time from Orlando to New Orleans.

The northern area of Florida may take in persons from the flood zones, but thats still over a 1 hour flight from Orlando.

We've just returned from Orlando and there was no effect from the hurricane. In fact, as we had no tv., we were unaware of the severity of the hurricane until we had 3 calls in quick succession from family at home worried about us. As it has been said already, it really is a long way from Orlando, we Brits tend to forget just how vast America is.
