    API

With the new api (advanced passenger information) requirements, ie,.
the complete address where you are staying, to be notified in advance of your travel and noted in full on your VW form, surely its about time the form was enlarged to accomodate this.
I have been told off before for abreviating addresses and when i have pointed out that there was not enough room on the VW form to include all that they asked within the boxes, i was told to squeeze it in between the lines, fine i thought.
The next time i did it, i was told this was not right and you should abreviate to fit it in.
Whats the betting i get a different version, nex tim i g.!!
After many years of travelling to Florida, it,s the only problem ive ever had, so please can someone (with the correct knowledge and expertise) tell me what the heck, i am supposed to do.?

I thought the main differnece with API was that you have to tell your carrier i.e Virgin, where you are staying when you check in. I didn't the requirments for the VW form had changed, have they?

We fly out with American airlines this Saturday. I rang them to give them the information required, only to be told that this isn't being enforced across the board yet!! The advice I had was that it was to take the information with me to check in and see if I get asked for it [msnscared]. Sorry I can't be more help.......

I spoke with both Delta Airlines and Virgin yesterday, and was also told that at the moment this information will be asked at check in, with Delta Airlines for example I was told that they may be giving forms to passengers while they are waiting to check in so that will not hold things up to much, I was also able to give the information over the phone of where we are staying this December. Virgin also said at the moment this information we would give at check in , but again I was also able to give information of where we are staying in July. They did also ask for the zip code. We had already booked these flights before this was known.
