    Medication Query

    Hi

We are off to Florida on Monday and I'm just trying to organise the medication we have to take.

Normally, when we travel, I split medication between cases as we need quite a lot, but I'm wondering if I should leave all medication in boxes? Should I keep all medication together if it's going to be checked? Also, do I need to state on any forms about the medication?

I'll be taking Salbutamol, budesonide and saline for the nebuliser, which we will be using onboard the aircraft. Also, seretide, serevent, ventolin inhalers, loratadine, singulair and prednisolone steroid tablets. Plus other medication.

    Can't wait to go [msnsmile]

    Thanks Liesa!

I'll put the repeat prescription forms in too. Have they ever looked at your repeat prescription forms, if you don't mind me asking?

    Thanks

Take it all as hand luggage, we needed to take needles, syringes and factors with us on a number of occasions. We had a small cooler type bag, packed all in a put the medical letter on top. Before going thru security I always explained what it was and before I got to my second line I was told "thats not a problem go ahead" no check needed.
Enjoy the hols, only 8 weeks left to go for us again![msnsmile2]

Same here Paul & Marianne. Been travelling to the US with my medication for 3 years now, no problems. I have syringes, and it needs to be kept cool at all times. Can be a challenge if you leave home the night before, then 4 hours before flight, then 8 hr flight, then the journey to accomodation, but so far so good, I use a cool bag a nd flight attendants/hotels help too[msnsmile]

Agree with Paul and Marianne, we have a diabetic daughter and have to take insulin, syringes and lancets with us, we keep it all packed together in a cool bag with letter of authorisation for travel from the hosipital and so far have had no problems, we have been travelling with this medication for over 10 years and never had a problem, it has been checked on probably about 4 occassions.

My parents take all their medication in their hand luggage, they seem to have heaps of tablets and their diabetic testers etc, no problems so far.[msnsmile2]

    Have a great holiday.[msnsmile]

I queried this with Virgin before I travelled this year and was told all medical items should be in their original boxes and packed in your hand luggage. Have fun!![msnsmile2]
