    Hot Air Ballooon Rides

    Hi Guys

after reading a few posts on the subject i have decided to take the plunge and book ourselves on a hot air balloon ride while we are in Florida this year.

If anyone has any good advice on the subject i would love to hear it. We are planning to take three adults and two kids which may present a bit of a challenge with the 5am start but i am confident that we will manage!!!

    Cheers

    Mack,
Its well worth the early rise, make sure you book it early in your stay, we had to reschule ours to do high winds on our first try. I have DM you with details of who we used, I think they offer free kids flights(under 9's)10 to 15 reduced rates...

We went on a balloon flight at the end of July and it was absolutely fantastic, well worth the early start.

There are lots of different flights on offer, most include breakfast of some sort, the one we had offered a champagne breakfast at the landing site, others take you off to a restaurant for breakfast. We liked the champagne picnic breakfast the best, you can go to a restaurant any time. You usually get souvenir photos and a certificate, we also got sourvenir champagne glasses.

It was such a fantastic time, we may do it again.

If you need details of the company Rosie and I used, please DM me.

Go for it Mack! After reading Rosie's posts and seeing her pictures, I thought I might like to go on a balloon flight, and this Easter when we were there we saw the ballons flying over our villa[msnsmile] It really made my mind up that I wanted to have a go in October when we return! Up and up and away![msnwink]

Not sure I will be that brave either Liesa[msnwink] I was just so taken by Rosie's experience and the lovely pics, I think about it so often! First I have to make sure my daughter will come with me, because I know hubby won't!! He can take the pictures [msnsmile2]

    Guys,
It amasing, because the basket is fixed you don't even feel urself lifting, you will be above the trees before you know ur in the air[msnsmile2] If you don't like heights, just fix on the horison and you will be fine.

I don't like heights (I get dizzy on a thick carpet) but was absolutely fine after the first minute or two. If I was ok, anyone would be ok, believe me [8D]
