Direct Travel Insurance is part of Atlas Travel Insurance. I have been using Atlas for years as their cover and pricing is great.

Must check out Atlas guys, hubby does that bit, so would like to think he has covered all bases? I am quite expensive to insure for travel (don't ask!) so any good deals are always worth chaecking

There is a lot of talk here about the 'cost' of insurance and how 'cheap' each policy is but the real test of how good a policy is only comes to light when you have to claim[msnscared]

Not all policies are the same, many have quite low medical cover compared with some which are slightly more costly policies, as is the legal cover.

In my view you should look into the history of the company, have they failed to pay out (many have recently) on policies in the past? Research how they operate etc.

I had a sick child last year and a Dr was at the villa within the hour, service was excelent, had follow up phone calls etc from the company to make sure all was ok.

So beware not all cover is the same!![msnwink]

Agree with all you say, we used Atlas when we went to Potugal and Kaye damaged her back. They were superb and we had a doc within the hour and everything was sorted superbly [msnsmile2]
