I've eaten at Animal Kingdom's Rainforest and had a great lunch. But, in my opinion, most Disney and/or South Orlando restaurants suffer from a lack of good service. Because they cater for tourists who normaly eat and go. Probably never to return. If you want to have a good evening meal you'd be better off driving to somewhere north of downtown. Winter Park has some lovely places to eat. And a 30 minute drive up 417 to Seminole County is well worth the trip. Even the chains like TGIF, Outback, and Chillis are better the further away from Disney you get.
But we do love the Canadian Steak House at Epcot. Best pork chops in Florida!

I HAD A BAD MEAL AT THE RAINFOREST 3 YEARS AGO AND AM STILL AWAITING A RESPONSE FROM THEM. I KEEP REMINDING THEM BUT THEIR POLICY MUST JUST BE TO IGNORE LETTERS OF COMPLAINT.!

We have been to the Rainforest both at
    Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney.

The atmosphere is fantastic and on one occasion we found some paper between the ribs that seperates the meat but they refunded the cost of the whole meal.

I have found the food to be cold on occasions in the past but this year the plates are coming to the table piping hot and the pot roast was lovely with no fat.

There was a time when we were shown to our table by a waitress and sat for 40 minutes without even a drink and she never came back.

We told the supervisor and she never returned either so we walked out.
    BUT

on the whole we think the Rainforest Cafe is a fun place to go and the food although quite expensive is fine.

    Will continue to go back

My daughter was once served totally raw fish nuggets in the RC at Disneyland Paris!(No it wasn't sushi!)

They were extremely apologetic, but it didn't make up for the horrendous delays before we were actually served and the aforementioned incident. We've never been back since.
